Lenovo Thinkpad T250

I got this from a friend. Mainboard was broken, and professional repair was, well, a tad on the uneconomical side (read: more expensive than just buying a complete used new one). Unprofessional tinkering in my spare time on the other Hand is quite economical: a new Board cost me 70 Euros shipped plus an hour to replace it (i could have even got a cheaper board, but i wanted the rarer type with dedicated GPU). Quite Nice! The replacement was simple, those older Thinkpads are really well designed and serviceable. The newer ones are not as nice (although better than many other).
The trackpad is in bad shape. This model had a weird touchpad surface that degraded over time, but replacement stickers are cheap. Need to get one, as well as a keyboard with UK layout or stickers.

Verdict

A bit old. But other than that? Awesome! Sturdy, good keyboard. I have the HD+ TN panel, which is ok. There is a FHD panel available, although i do not know if its IPS. Sure its big and heavy, but its a desktop replacement.
Linux support seems to be good, but i did not test it well.
